At \u00a0the beginning of every new year I am all exited to make the best start possible. Filled with new energy, ideas, goals and a small list of new habits to fit into daily life, I fill those first days\u00a0with buying theatre tickets, planning courses, checking out the best festivals and art exhibits, starting new habits and setting goals. Cutting the difficult stuff into tiny easy steps, goals are easier to meet.\u00a0Striving to improve every year, filling those empty pages in my diary, feels like getting a head start!<\/p>\n

My Ibiza favourites
\n<\/strong>That said, one of the most exiting things of all, is getting the calender out to plan some travels. Thinking of last year’s trips, I caught myself on actually liking Ibiza best (well, after my trip to AfrikaBurn, the coolest place ever). You might be doing some travel planning of your own, so here’s a mini guide to some of my favourite places on Ibiza and a beachclub I didn’t get round to vist due to some adventurous off-road driving in Fiat 500.<\/p>\n

• Caf\u00e9s Meke<\/a>: getting here was quite a search not having the exact directions, but we ended up there eventually when a local drew us a map. Loved meeting the two owners from New Zealand and attending a coffee tasting in their headquarters in an old factory.<\/li>\n
• La\u00a0Paloma<\/a>: if you’re into health food, La Paloma is a must go when you’re on Ibiza. Having lunch in their beautiful garden and matching views to complete the experience.<\/li>\n
• Giri caf\u00e9<\/a>: this cafe is an interior design stunner. The garden and the menu make you come back for more.<\/li>\n
• Tanis<\/a>: a very stylish interior design store close to the village of Santa Gertrudis.<\/li>\n
• Sunday hippie market in the village of San Juan de Labritja<\/a>: this small authentic hippie market makes for a relaxed start of your Sunday.<\/li>\n
• Remy’s beach bar at Cala d’en Serra<\/a>: of-the-beaten-path beach surrounded by steep cliffs with a abandoned hotel and a tiny beachbar owned by a Dutch guy named Remy.<\/li>\n
• Greenheart Ibiza<\/a>: hippy eco-eduction farm close to the village of San Jose,\u00a0open for visitors<\/a> every Sunday. Loved it!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  One still left on the Ibiza bucketlist is Experimental Beach<\/a>. I intended to have a farewell lunch at the beach before going to the airport. Well, that didn’t exactly go as planned. Again, no wifi and no exact directions (not a good idea on Ibiza, unless you want to get lost on purpose). After driving around for a while and asking a few people for directions, we got on a dirtroad and\u00a0got stuck in the mud! With hardly any living sole around, we managed to get help and got rescued by a handsome young doctor from Barcelona. That was quite an adventure just a few hours before taking our flight home. To be on the safe side for once, we headed to the airport early.
